TENEMOS FUEGO!!! (We're on fire!!!)

Howdy yall!

Man, I just had a little shocking moment, this past week we had changes, and a couple of my best friends in the whole world unfortunately for me had to go home (after serving honorable missions) ...One of them ex-Elder Timothy Roan, just wrote and sent me a couple of photos, and its just too unreal. I can't believe that everyone that I´ve known in the mission are all finishing up! Here in the mission I only have 3 changes left...AHHHHHHH...!!!!! I can't believe it! But at the same time it's kind of a booster, to think that one day I´m not going to be able to be a missionary is giving me a major boost to give it my all! I can imagine a little now what it must be like to send a missionary out into the field..it's a bitter sweet sensation. First because you know that they are going on to a better place to become someone better but at the same time, it's just not fun at all, lol, it's like your losing all of your best friends, and I don't like that, lol, at least for a little while.

But back to the mission. This past week I did have changes, not to another area, just a change of companions. My new companion is called Donaldo Gomez. He´s from Honduras, and super funny guy! Its kinda of a fun change, jaja, Changes are definately learning and preparation for my future life, lol. Yeah that sounds about right, lol.

So yeah we´re having a pretty good time down here and finding a good amount of new people to teach. Just a little info. on how the mission has progressed of the past year...In June of last year we were baptising, as a mission, 64 people a month, now this past month of August, we baptised 181 with 36 families! Needless to say TENEMOS FUEGO!!! but yeah everything really depends on this next change, whether I leave San Martin or stay here for a total of 8 months, because after this change we aren´t going to be to be seeing changes because of the opening of the new temple here in Xela!

So yeah right now the goal that Elder Gomez and I have for this month is 5 baptisms with 1 family, its not a ridiculous goal, we just have to stay focused on our purpose here!

We also want to help improve the assistance here because it is pretty bad, about 60 for ward that should be around 200!!!! So there is plenty of work to be done here, the trick is looking for the answer for the problem...but we´ll find it through a lot of prayer and fasting, the combination of these two is pure magic!!!! Fixes just about any problem, lol.!

Also I'm going to attach a couple of photos of the change meeting and my new scripture cases and of Gomez and me!

Love you all tons and am loving all the photos!

Love you,

Elder Marquis
